1. Allow the fire pit to cool down completely:
Before you start cleaning your fire pit, make sure that it has completely cooled down. If you try to clean it while it's still hot, you risk injuring yourself or damaging the pit.
2. Remove ashes and debris:
Ashes from the wood will fall into the ash pan below. Once completely cooled, remove the ash pan, pour out the ashes, and sweep away the embers with a tool.
3. Scrub the fire pit:
Use a stiff-bristled brush or steel wool to scrub the inside and outside of the fire pit. You can also use a solution of mild soap and warm water to help remove any stubborn stains or build-up. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that can damage the fire pit.
4. Rinse with water:
Once the fire pit is clean and rinsed, allow it to dry completely before using it again. You can speed up the drying process by wiping it down with a clean, dry cloth or by leaving it in the sun.
5. Dry the fire pit:
After you've scrubbed the fire pit, rinse it thoroughly with water. You can use a garden hose or a bucket of water to do this.
When the fire heats the walls, air enters the cavity at the bottom and enters the double wall. While the fire was burning, hot air rose from the gap between the two walls.
The hot air then exits the double wall through holes around the edges. This pressurized, heated oxygen mixes with the smoke and causes secondary combustion, or reburning.
The HOLZOFFER smokeless fire pit uses a split structure, and the removable ash pan is located at the bottom of the fire pit to collect all the fine ash in one place. You don't need special tools to clean your fire pit, just dump the contents of the ash pan, in a breeze!
Rising hot air, and the absence of oxygen created by the combustion process pulls air through the bottom vent holes.
Catches loose ash and prevents it from clogging vital airflow.
Allows oxygen to be fed directly to embers from below.
Vent holes near the top of the burn chamber allow preheated oxygen to fuel the flame resulting in more complete combustion and a hotter fire with less smoke.
The fire ring is formed from a single piece of 304 stainless steel, deep drawn with precision tooling and hand polished.
